With the end of the year nearly upon us, our annual Holiday Wishes program is starting to kick into high gear. We thought it might be handy to have an all-encompassing guide to the program in an easily accessible place, so read on for everything you might possibly want to know about Holiday Wishes, including how you can help!

Personalized gifts from 2016

Every family who receives CARE House services is eligible for our Holiday Wishes program.

Families in need from our CASA, Early Head Start, Intervention and Treatment programs fill out a wish list of gifts they hope to receive, and we match them with individuals or groups interested in becoming sponsors. Things that we take into consideration when matching our sponsors with families include the number of children in a family, the age, and more. Once matched, the sponsor receives the family’s wish list, and they can purchase, wrap and tag the items and bring them back to CARE House by Monday,  December 11 at 5pm.

Holiday Wishes is a terrific opportunity to give back near the end of the year, and to help struggling families give their kids a memorable holiday season. Last year, 104 families with 319 children received gifts in the program; so far this year, 105 families with 316 kids are enrolled, with that number expected to rise. If you would like to sponsor one of our families this year, please contact Chad Ozias at 248.332.7173, or e-mail him at This email address is being protected from spambots.
