Kadima

Services

Kadima provides a continuum of residential, clinical and educational/outreach programs for members of the community with mental health challenges.

Kadima develops support groups as a need arises. Some groups are held at the Kadima administrative office in Southfield and others are held in partnership with local religious or community organizations.

Parent Support Group

The Kadima Parent Support Group helps parents of one or more children ages 5-18 that have either been diagnosed with an emotional or behavioral disorder, or has been exhibiting these challenges. This group helps parents learn coping skills, provides guidance on how to advocate for appropriate services and offers parents a chance to meet with other parents who share similar challenges with their children.

Friends and Family Group

The Kadima Friends and Family Group provides support for caregivers that are taking care of a loved one who has a mental health challenge. The individual does not have to have a loved one as a Kadima client in order to participate. The Kadima Caregiver Support Group provides an opportunity for parents, siblings, spouses, children and other caregivers to share their story and learn from others experiences. The group provides an opportunity to learn about Kadima’s services, as well as many other community resources.

The Kadima Friends and Family Group meets on the first Wednesday of the month at 7:00 at Kadima.
